I am 40 years old and I was born in Cassino (Fr). I currently live between Cassino and Modena. At the age of 9, I started to fish for trout in the Rapido and Gari rivers, the rivers of my hometown, using all the techniques.
After a few years, I began to prefer the "moschera" using olive spiders. In 1991, I saw a fly fisherman for the first time. I was literally struck by the elegance of this technique, comparable only to the naturalness of a trout that swims in the running water.
It took me some time to be able to afford my first equipment and, thanks to Maestro Giuseppe Re, I refined my technique to tie for my company. I’ve been practice fly fishing and fly tying for 17 years.
I regularly frequent the rivers of my area: Rapido, Volturno, Melfa and Fibreno. I have also fished in the Sangro and the Aniene. Moreover, as soon as I can, I run towards the Sele and the Tanagro.
I prefer dry fishing, but I do not disdain nymph and submerged fishing. I also love fly fishing in the lake which is an Anglo-Saxon tradition.
What else can I say about myself and my passion? I participated in the Bisenzio Trophy in 2009, contributed to the book "Fly patterns by fishing guides" by Tony Lolli, I took part in other construction contests in minor events and I am a member of the Moscow Club Basso Lazio.
