I was 10 years old when I started fishing with my uncle in the ponds at the social competitions.
Having achieved a good movement freedom, thanks to my first scooter, I began to venture into the foothills and tried spinning fishing.
I immediately noticed that the use of the anchor provoked serious injuries to the fish and I had the intuition to fish with the single hook without barb. I've been practicing catch and release since then.
Then, the turning point.
While I was crossing a bridge, I saw a fisherman in the river below and I was impressed and fascinated by the cast technique, especially by the harmony in the movements.
In '94, I met the fly fishermen of my area and I approached this fishing technique. First casts, first clamp and first flies until the day when I caught the first fario trout on bubble. That day, I felt a great emotion.
Since then many years have passed and my passion is more alive than ever. I tie flies experimenting with new dressing. I prefer to undermine trouts and grayling.
Friuli, Slovenia and Austria are my destinations, where I am constantly looking for spots to have fun and relax. Today I am the official fishing guide in Slovenia and in Italy (AIGUPP) and I am supported by Hanák.
The 2019 edition is the second one in which I take part with the FTE team.
