Required:
Cdc ivory, Cdc pardo, Cdc primerose, pheasant tail fibers, mandarin duck or similar, AHREX FW 531 # 10 hook, brown thread
Steps:
- Wind the assembly line up to the bend of the hook and secure the 3 pheasant fibers to imitate the tails
- Block a piece of brown yarn and an ivory CDC feather with a few turns. Wind the feather and yarn in sequence
- Wrap a pardo-colored feather towards the eyelet. Cut the excess leaving about 5 mm of space from the eyelet.
- Prepare a buttonhole and insert two half cdc feathers, one pardo color and one primerose. Twist the buttonhole and wind the cord obtained on the hook.
- Attach a mandarin duck feather and wrap it taking care that the fibers are arranged in a radial pattern
- Create the head with the mounting wire. Then make a closing knot.
