Aldo Menghini

Descrizione speaker

Regarding his fishing experiences, the first time he went down to the river (together with his father) he was 3 years old.
The river was the Tronto, a river to which he has been inseparably connected ever since.

After about 25 years of fly fishing (Western Fly Fishing), earning two Casting Instructor certifications from different schools and developing a passion for Fly Tying and entomology, he has collected over 200 books on fly fishing — a library he continues to expand constantly with new volumes.

He especially loves fishing in fast mountain streams, preferring “wild” rivers over slow, lowland waters.

In the last decade, he has embraced the Tenkara technique, eventually practicing it exclusively.
He mainly frequents rivers and streams in central Italy but moves to alpine watercourses whenever possible.
A Certified Tenkara Guide, he has attended workshops with Japanese masters, national gatherings, and events all over Italy.
He is the head of the Tenkara section within the S.I.M. (Italian School of Fly Fishing).

A volunteer fishing warden, deeply involved in environmental protection initiatives, he is vice president of the Mosca Club Trisungo and, together with his club, manages the no-kill reserve on the Tronto river in the Trisungo area (AP).
