Ezio Celeschi, born in Umbria but Romagnolo by adoption, approached fly fishing in the early 1980s, simultaneously developing a passion for fly tying.

Throughout his research, he experimented with and developed personal tying methods aimed at giving flies a realistic appearance, often introducing innovative materials of his own.

He was among the pioneers in using plumber’s Teflon tape to create the extended bodies of mayflies, and he crafted caddis and Rhyacophila bodies using hot glue.

Over the years, by refining his technique and knowledge, he developed the “Real Wings”: insect wings reproduced in minute detail using a truly unique material—super soft, flexible, and featuring a highly realistic transparency. A major advantage of these wings is that they do not interfere with casting and prevent unwanted twisting, even when using thin leaders.

The success of the wings inspired him to create the “Real Fish Head,” designed for use in tying Saltwater and Freshwater patterns.

This product also faithfully replicates the shape of a fish's head and, when combined with the wide range of materials available on the market, allows for the creation of streamers without requiring advanced tying skills.
