Born in Cagliari, he started fishing at the age of 5. At 10, he discovered surfcasting with the Hippocampus Club, the society he still belongs to. He made his competitive debut in 1998 and boasts an elite career with 9 World Championships under his belt. Since 2022, he has been the head coach of the Women's National Team, with which he has won 7 world medals. Since 2021, he has been sharing techniques and successes by collaborating with the Sunset brand, officially becoming part of the SERT family.
