Marco Naldi

My name is Marco Naldi, I was born and live in the province of Bologna. Fishing has always been part of my life since childhood but I have been practicing fly fishing exclusively for twelve years now.

For some time I have been dedicating a large part of my free evenings to fly tying. I like to build a little bit of everything, from dry flies to submerged, from nymphs to streamers and my favorite montage is the one in the buttonhole, inspired by the great builders who invented and tested this construction method before me.
I love dry fly fishing and in particular I prefer sight fishing in chalk streams.

I live this passion of mine as a way to escape from daily stress, I practice nokill and I no longer seek quantity but quality in my catches. Being able to fool a trout with my lure gives me an incredible feeling.

Last year I participated in various contests of the magazine "Fly fishing and spinning", winning two first places and other podium finishes. This year I also reached the seventh position in the Slovenian Open Fly Tyng Championship.
In the winter, taking advantage of the closure of river fishing, I dedicate myself to rod making or the construction of bamboo rods with which I love to spend pleasant moments of fishing.
