Maurizio Santucci

I was born in Barga (LU) in 1978 and I currently live in the province of Lucca where I am an illustrator.
I started fishing like many as a child but I only encountered fly fishing and lure building a few years ago.

Mainly my fishing trips are aimed at catching black bass, to which I dedicate most of the season and also a lot of the time spent at the clamp. I also love to catch carp and occasionally frequent some streams or rivers in search of trout.

Salt water is another great passion where I go in search of predators such as sea bass, greenhouse and all the other fish found in mangianza.

Fly tying is a passion that I often make meet with a passion for drawing, trying to create fishing lures that also have an aesthetic coherence. My challenge to the clamp is to reinterpret the great construction classics to find an alternative way that best suits my fishing style so I try to give ample space to both classic and unusual materials and tools.
