Born in Parma in 1973.
I started fishing pretty early thanks to my dad. They mostly fished in the Bolognese style in the Apennine streams of the area, trying to undermine barbel and chub, or in the Po, which still causes me awe as it did then.
I got to know fly fishing late: thanks to a chance encounter with a fisherman along the banks of a stream. It took a few minutes to observe it to understand that I would have liked to learn ... and I am still doing it!
The construction came as a result, with it the first attempts and many materials thrown away, but also the first advice and encouragement, with them the first results and the first catches.
Today I am fascinated by classic flies in general, for their history and undoubted beauty, I love to try to reproduce them, but I like to experiment, taking a cue from what I have learned and believe functional.
I feel I can say that I will continue to build even if I stop fishing.
