Pierangelo Grillo

Born 65 years ago in Biella, retired, he is now preparing to enter the 40 year of fly fishing.

He is part of the fly fishing club “Thymallus Aurora” of Biella and of the Sport Fishermen Club of Novara.

Partner and auditor of the I.F.T.A. “Italian Fly Tiers Association“. He collaborated with Confluenze magazine.

He begins to build artificial flies when he realizes that catching fish with his own imitations provides total satisfaction. It mainly frequents the rivers of its province, the Cervo and the Elvo and the streams of the Aosta Valley.

Today he mainly builds dry flies, which is his favorite fishing technique, using natural materials to make them. He dedicates his free time totally to fishing and building artificial flies trying to pass on his passion to the new fishermen who come to the club.
