Fabio Mauri

My name is Fabio Mauri, I am 47 years old and I live in Gambara in the province of Brescia. In the village of Montichiari, I own a small watch shop, in which I also keep some fly-fishing items.

I love the fly tying. In the past years, I have participated in various competitions with excellent results, but the competitions are only a secondary aspect of this huge game, that make my heart beats.The passion for fishing is something innate for me. Since I was a child, fishing was part of my life although I did not have close relatives who could help me. At the age of 14/15, I learned fly fishing. I was immediately struck by it and I decided immediately that I would learn this wonderful technique, and so it was. The adventure that began in that moment, continues today, giving me new emotions and the chance to meet new and old friends.

Among the tops of the mountains or sitting at the bedside of a clamp, with the enthusiasm of a child, I feel grateful towards the most creative and engaging fishing technique I have ever known.
