17th edition of ‘Fish & Friends

Bellaria Igea Marina, the Turroni-Sancisi Memorial returns: Sunday, July 5, the 17th edition of “Fish & Friends”

Seventeen years of passion, environmental education, and fun. On Sunday, July 5, starting at 7:30 a.m., the canal harbor of Bellaria Igea Marina (Bellaria side) will host the 17th edition of the Giulio Turroni and Roberto Sancisi Memorial – Fish & Friends, an event dedicated to youth sport fishing that, over the years, has become a benchmark at national level.

The initiative was created with a clear goal: to introduce children and young people, aged 5 to 15, to the world of sport fishing as a tool for socialization, education, and respect for the marine environment. During the event, young participants will learn about the fish species inhabiting the canal harbor, while discovering the importance of ecosystem protection and sustainable fishing. All fish caught will be photographed with the young anglers and then safely released back into the water.

The event is organized thanks to the commitment of the Bellaria Igea Marina Nautical Club and the support of numerous partners who continue, year after year, to believe in the educational value of the initiative: Scarpellini Caccia e Pesca, Trabucco, Romagna Banca, Pescare Show, and Match Fishing Italia.

The Memorial is dedicated to the memory of Giulio Turroni and Roberto Sancisi, former presidents of the Bellaria Igea Marina Nautical Club, who played a key role in the creation and growth of the event. Their legacy has been carried forward with enthusiasm by the current president, Tony Spartaco, who has ensured continuity for an initiative that has become a point of reference in the sector.

The 2026 edition is expected to be particularly well attended thanks to the Fish & Friends format, which will welcome young anglers from various Italian regions, confirming the event’s growing national importance.

Special thanks go to the Municipality of Bellaria Igea Marina and Mayor Giorgetti, who has supported the event for years with his presence and commitment.

The event is therefore set for Sunday, July 5, at 7:30 a.m., at the canal harbor of Bellaria Igea Marina – Bellaria side. A morning dedicated to sport, friendship, and respect for the sea, where the true protagonists will be the young anglers and their great passion.
