Peacock bass da record sul Rio Marié

Benvenuti sul Rio Marié, una spettacolare fishery di acque nere situata nell’angolo nord-occidentale del Brasile. Le acque color tannino ospitano il Cichla temensis, la più grande specie di peacock bass, insieme a ottime popolazioni di peacock bass butterfly, più piccoli ma incredibilmente divertenti da pescare.

"Welcome to the Rio Marié, a stunningly-gorgeous blackwater fishery in the northwestern corner of Brazil. The tannin-colored waters are home to cichla temensis–the largest species of peacock bass—as well as healthy numbers of butterfly peacock bass, which are smaller but a whole lot of fun."

Se non hai mai pescato il peacock bass da trofeo, questo è il posto giusto per farlo. Sono predatori della giungla, da insidiare con mosche grandi e dal profilo importante, e non sempre sono facili da catturare. Ma lo sforzo viene ripagato: qui si catturano pesci da record personale praticamente ogni settimana, e i pescatori determinati vedranno il loro impegno ampiamente premiato.

"If you’ve never fished for trophy peacock bass, this is the place to do it. These fish are jungle predators: targeted with big, large-profile flies, and they aren’t always easy. But the effort pays off: personal record fish are caught weekly here, and determined anglers will find effort amply rewarded."

Oltre al classico programma basato sulla mothership, il lodge ospita due gruppi da quattro pescatori ciascuno per un’esperienza esclusiva Headwaters Fishing Camp. Ogni giorno si pesca un nuovo tratto di fiume e ogni sera si approda in un campo diverso, dove godersi buon cibo, ottima compagnia e una notte di riposo nella natura selvaggia della giungla, prima di ricominciare tutto il giorno successivo.
